President's Message
2009 has passed and we have crossed the threshold into 2010 and are looking forward to this year! We more than doubled our membership in 2009, got great press and have the highest hopes for 2010! Currently we are working on fundraising events and new schedules for meetings and rides for the upcoming season. There will be elections for some Board positions this year and a Board elected Sergeant at Arms position has been created and filled.
Meetings, rides and events are coming up on our next meeting agenda and we look forward to feedback and input from all of our members and all of you who are reading this page. The Detroit chapter of Dykes On Bikes is here for you. We look forward to meeting you and getting you as involved as you want to be in our chapter. In 2009 we really enjoyed showing at Motor City Pride in Ferndale and we will be there again this year. We are also investigating other Pride festivals to take part in and community opportunities to be a part of.
We hope your 2009 and Holidays were good. We ended the year with a great club party and small gathering. We rang in the new year weekend at the International Motorcycle Show and had a great time at that event. We passed out a lot of business cards and had a number of people take pictures of our patch and make positive comments. We even had our photo taken with the girls from Flaunt of the Full Throttle Saloon! We may even go to Sturgis this year! Who knows? It's on the agenda to discuss.
